"Benchmarks" refer to the content students should learn at each grade level (based upon the "experts") and are used to individualize a student's education. Students enrolled with Family Tree receive high school credit for creative programs that follow these benchmarks. Many programs will summarize similar benchmarks as their goals and objectives in their text books, cd roms, tutoring materials and certificate programs.
You can successfully homeschool once you adopt the right "strategies" that work for you! "Stratiegies" refer to plans and efforts, such as using goal charts, enforcing discipline, applying certain grading methods or using guides, such as diploma tracks to pick courses.
Personalized strategies help you meet your student's needs and integrate and manage changes. Carefully thought out strategies will help you to integerate new online learning opportunities or a community program. Use our TOOLS to help get you started! Personalize your strategies to support your teaching style and your student's learning style.
